The platform every club and league needs that the incumbents can’t become.

Midfield connects everyone in the game (clubs, leagues, coaches, and players) in one connected platform, built on a data model the extraction-era incumbents can’t match.

Why now

Incumbents are consolidating, not improving

The platforms registrars use were rolled up by private equity and optimized for extraction: quote-only pricing, hidden checkout markups, migration friction. The people running seasons are stuck and looking.

One account, not five apps

Clubs, leagues, coaches, and players are juggling registration in one tool, schedules in another, payments in a third, and comms in a group chat. The wedge is collapsing that into one connected platform.

A buyer with real switching pain

Refunds, scholarships, and board handoff are the back-office work nobody loves and incumbents won’t fix this year. Relieving that pain is how we earn the org, then expand across the league above it.

The moat

One-account data model

A person can be a player, parent, coach, or admin across every team, with one login and one record. The incumbents’ per-registration data models can’t retrofit this without a rewrite.

Multi-tenant from the ground up

Row-level tenant isolation and a hierarchical state → region → club model were designed in on day one, the prerequisite for the state-association tier the incumbents serve poorly.

Portability as positioning

Open exports, no lock-in, published pricing. It’s a trust wedge against extraction-era incumbents, and it’s only credible because the data genuinely leaves with you, in open formats, anytime.

Where we are

We’re pre-alpha and building in the open. No fabricated logos or revenue here. This is real build progress toward a concierge-onboarded first cohort.
