About

We're building the sports platform we wished existed when we tried to run a season.

What we're here to do

Give the people running club & league sports software that respects their time, their money, and the players they serve. That means everyone from a coach with a handful of players on a Saturday-morning session, to a single-region rec league, to a 5,000-player club, to a state association rolling up hundreds of clubs.

In practice that means published prices, one connected platform for everyone in the game (clubs, leagues, coaches, and players) instead of stacks of unrelated accounts, and an admin surface that gives you back the evenings you used to spend chasing this stuff in a spreadsheet.

One source of truth, not a pile of duplicate accounts

The legacy platforms in this space were built around a single player record. Every team is a separate account with a separate login, a separate cart, a separate email thread. Separate everything. That worked in 2005. It doesn’t work for the registrar reconciling duplicate records across an org, or for a player on multiple teams in two sports who just wants one place to manage it all.

Midfield connects everyone in the game (clubs, leagues, coaches, and players) in one place. One account, however many teams, one login, one cart, one notification stream, one place to manage forms. Refunds know which payment went to which program. The end-of-season board archive can find an entire history in one click.

That isn't a feature you bolt on. It's a foundational choice we made on day one, and it's not the kind of thing the legacy platforms can match by next quarter. They'd have to start over.

Why we lead with the boring-but-painful stuff

Talk to anyone running a sports org, whether a club registrar, a state-association admin, or a coach handling tryout fees from her phone, and the same three pains surface: refund requests that take forever to process, scholarship workflows that live in a spreadsheet and an email thread, and the end-of-season scramble where every piece of institutional memory gets re-discovered the hard way.

Those three things are where we start. A real refund engine with treasurer sign-off, a scholarship review queue with anonymized files, and a season-end archive that just appears when the board, the auditor, or the federation asks. From there: tournament hosting, state-association tools, multi-sport.

How we make money is simple, and it's all on the pricing page: the org pays for the platform, your league or club sets its own registration fees, and your data is yours to export the day you decide to leave. No opaque quotes, no lock-in. The incentives are built into how the product works, not into a slogan.

Who's building this

People who've run one too many seasons on platforms that treated everyone in the game like ticket-takers. Small team, founder-led, onboarding our first cohort of clubs and leagues one at a time so we actually get it right.

We'll introduce everyone here once we have something more interesting to say than “we’re hiring.” Until then, if you want to talk to a real person, we're one email away.

See if Midfield fits the org you run.
